An extremely reliable source (Winnie the Pooh), once documented the Monkey’s favorite trick which was to sneak up behind the Tiger, grab his tail and run! In case you didn’t know, August marks the month of the Monkey. (aug 10th to sep 7th to be exact) While all signs can benefit from the Monkey’s influences, members of the Rat/Monkey/Dragon group should prepare to have an especially fun filled month with a slight tinge of danger. Every now and then the Monkey gets caught!
Here are a few fun things I recommend you try.
Monkeying Around! If you’re a fun loving person, this is the month to try some fun new, spontaneous things. Just go out, don’t plan, don’t stress, don’t get caught up in the details. The local farmer’s market is always a good place to find such things and test out your bargaining skills. Just for fun, make your first offer at 90% below market.
Check out a Magic Shop – Tricks on display will be especially delightful. It will be twice as fun if you take a few minutes and learn to do one. Find a good practical joke to use on your significant other. You will get particular delight out of it if he’s a Tiger, Ox or a Horse.
Create a Fake Profile and Mess With Your Guy Friends on Twitter! Social media has made access to everyone easier by the day. A little practical joke on twitter won’t kill anyone.
Games… Games… Games – When is the last time you went out and played something? The Bachlorette just ended and Grey’s anatomy doesn’t premiere until September 23rd so you have no excuse! Video games, miniature golf, and bowling come to mind.
Pick Some Fruit – When is the last time you went out into the country side and picked some fruit? Grab your Best Guy Friend (leave the hubby at home for this one) and just head out. There is no limit to the amount of mischief you can drum up in a field full of fruit!
On a serious note, there is no time like now to put some fun into your life. Far too often we get caught up with routine, whether it’s on the job or raising our families. Try to insert happiness into all stages of your life, think like the Monkey and have a little fun with it.
