Happy New Year of the Hare!
Create good
Feng Shui in your office by following these five tips:
-
Open up the entrance.
Be sure that your customers and colleagues can find you! Have clear signage that prominently displays the name of your business. And be sure that the address numbers are big and clear. Your customers need to easily find you without any sense of confusion or hesitation. Keep the entrance area clean and inviting
-
What is the first thing seen?
The first thing seem upon entry sets the tone for the entire office. Your eye goes somewhere, so walk into your office and really look as if you are entering for the first time. Put fresh flowers, a lush plant, or something lovely as the first thing seen. In Hare year, art and beauty is cherished so now is the time to add flowers or add beauty to the office.
-
Clutter must be removed!
Remove clutter or anything messy if that is what you see when you first enter an office. Customers must enter a tidy room. If a customer sees clutter, they assume that your work is chaotic. An clear desk equals a clear mind so keep clutter to a minimum. This is especially important in this year of the Metal Rabbit 2011 because the Metal aesthetic is clean, pristine, and minimal.
-
Sit facing the entrance but not in the direct line from the entry.
Facing the entrance is preferred so you can see who enters, exits, and passes by. If your desk or computer is arranged that you cannot see the door, place a mirror on your computer to reflect what's going on behind you. That way you can glance in the mirror and not be startled when other enter or speak.
-
Art on the walls must make sense for your work.
Hang art that relates to the purpose of your business. If you're a bakery, hang photos of your best selling baked goods. If you have a daycare center, hang art that is fun and inspiring for the kids. It's also good to hang awards, degrees, and certificates that relate to your business.
