The Chinese New Year isn’t that far away, and you may already be thinking about the big changes in store that typically come with a Dragon year. Under the influence of the fierce fire-breather, most signs will get an energetic boost and a sense of adventure. Should you book that European vacation? Plan a wildlife safari in Africa? Or should you stay closer to home? Read on to find out.
Rat. As one of Dragon’s compatible animals, you might be doing a whole lot of traveling for the sake of fun in 2012. Woohoo! It’s time to take that trip you’ve always wanted to take. Venture far and bring someone along who will make it an experience to remember. Luckily, you might find some travel deals with your good financial sense, too.
Ox. For you, travel might not play a huge role in Dragon year. However, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t get away for a while and enjoy yourself. If work takes you on an interesting business trip, try to combine it with some fun activities that broaden your social and cultural horizons.
Tiger. Travel is always a part of your agenda, and 2012 is no exception. The thing you might want to be careful of, however, is taking one too many risks in a foreign country or winging it when it comes to your itinerary. Have fun but don’t get swept away.
Rabbit. You’re probably one that likes to stay closer to home, but Dragon year might inspire you to take that trip you’ve been putting off. Good places to visit are destinations near water, such as beaches, lakes, or islands. Spend a little money on a lavish resort package. You deserve it.
Dragon. Both business and pleasure might take you far and wide this year. In fact, you might not be spending too much time at home at all! That’s probably OK with you, though. Use 2012 to learn about yourself through experiences in other cultures and far away places.
Snake. Overseas trips aren’t necessarily in the cards for you during Dragon year, but it would be wise to plan some short vacations to look forward to, especially in the summer months. Bring a friend who is more outgoing than you to help you loosen up a bit.
Horse. You may be frustrated this year when you want to do a lot of traveling but can’t seem to find the time or the resources to make it happen. Don’t worry, you can still get in a few trips, they just might need to be shorter and closer to home.
Sheep. Any travel you do this year will likely be centered around family. Whether you’re visiting old family members or taking a vacation with your clan, make it a time to bond and foster connections. Trips near the water are especially favorable for you.
Monkey. You will probably be all over the place this year! Travel is favorable for your sign and there’s no telling where the wind might take you. It’s the perfect year to explore all possibilities, whether it’s a foreign vacation or a summer of volunteering somewhere impoverished.
Rooster. Work could have you bouncing around a lot in 2012. While you tend to like your routine, use these opportunities to step outside your comfort zone a bit. Explore new cities and towns. You might even find a place you’d like to call home someday.
Dog. Even though you’ll probably have the traveling itch, it’s better to stay close to home in Dragon year. Disasters and disruptions could occur if you venture too far away. Plan some weekend getaways with your spouse or partner. There is plenty to do and see within driving distance or by taking a short flight.
Pig. Work and leisure will probably take you far in 2012! You’ll have fun meeting new people, attending conferences, and mixing business with pleasure. Make sure to take at least one trip that’s solely for your enjoyment, however. All your journeys should bring you much closer to the ones you love.
