Ahh…spring is right around the corner. Can you feel it? The birds are chirping, the bees are buzzing, and – what’s that? – your closet needs cleaning? Not only is spring a great time to shed the layers of winter pudge (you know who you are!), but it’s also a time for rebirth, renewal, and tossing out what’s old and out-of-date in your life.
When it comes to your animal sign, there’s probably a trait, habit, or personality quirk you could do without, no? Here are some friendly suggestions for things to work on as you emerge out of that sleepy winter cocoon and into a new season with some soul spring cleaning:
Rat – Maybe it’s time to be more of a team player. Sure you love your independence, but think about shedding that “I can take care of myself” attitude. Let others in. Allow them to support you.
Ox – You probably already know what I’m about to say: Lose the stubborn ways! Dragon year is all about innovation, trying new things – basically, everything but being stuck in your ways. Get the idea?
Tiger – You were born ready. But maybe you could work on your timing and tact, especially in the workplace this year. Don’t lose that genuine Tiger eagerness, but know when it’s time to leap and when it’s better to lay low.
Rabbit – Stop being so timid, Rabbit. I mean, really, don’t you know by now what you’re capable of? If not, perhaps it’s time to pick up a self-help book or work on positive daily affirmations to boost your confidence.
Dragon – What should you shed this year? How about that little voice in the back of your head that’s always second-guessing everything? Trust yourself.
Snake – You love learning, but maybe it’s time to stick to one career path for a while. Shed that fickle nature. Commit already.
Horse – Time to stop allowing others to influence your personal decisions. You know what’s best for you. So ignore all the opinions to the contrary.
Sheep – What should you toss with the spring cleaning? How about your tendency to fool yourself? You’re the master at self-deception, and it could be blocking your personal and professional progress.
Monkey – Get rid of that tendency to work hard and not play enough. You need to have a balance in your life. Take care of your obligations, but schedule a vacation already. Sheesh.
Rooster – Time to ditch that critical inner voice. Stop spending so much time in your head. Engage in more physical activities that keep you grounded in the here and now.
Dog – When you’re cleaning house this spring, throw out your inability to trust. Know that, most importantly, you can trust yourself. This will be important for your success this year.
Pig – Hmm… maybe you need to stop taking care of others so much. Be selfish. Don’t worry how your actions are going to be perceived, just do what’s best for you. Sounds scary, doesn’t it?!
