A funny thing happens when the seasons turn. Our immune systems go haywire and they try to keep up with the changing temperatures. In order to fight off illness, you’ll have to attack when the first sign of sickness shows up. Here are some tips for staying healthy, based on your Chinese Animal sign.
Rat. Guess what? You’re prone to mental fatigue and stress-related burnout. Get plenty of rest and don’t try to burn the midnight oil. It will only make you more sick!
Ox. Strength-training exercises are good for you, but they can also make you prone to muscle strains. Make cardio a part of your routine as well. And lay off the meat. Your body needs light, spring-friendly foods like fresh veggies.
Tiger. Keep the fevers and flus at bay by staying away from high-energy types of people. They’ll run you ragged before you know it. Don’t try to keep up.
Rabbit. Ear infections might be common for Rabbits, so take good care of that nose and throat. A minor cold could turn into something bigger if you don’t take those vitamins and get plenty of sleep.
Dragon. Watch out for kidney issues this time of year. You want to make sure you’re drinking plenty of water to flush toxins from your system and keep you in tip-top shape.
Snake. Depression or anxiety can easily manifest into fatigue for you. Keep your spirits up by taking plenty of outdoor walks and exercising on a daily basis.
Horse. Speaking of exercise, you might get knocked out of the race if you get an injury. Too much physical exertion can be super taxing on a Horse’s immune system. Slow down.
Sheep. Watch for problems with your diet, Sheep. Too much sugar or alcohol can send you into one big tailspin. Get plenty of vitamin B12 and keep the cocktails to a minimum.
Monkey. Queasy stomach? Emotional stress can easily manifest in stomach problems for you. Lay off the coffee and eat foods that are friendly to your internal fauna.
Rooster. Suffer from migraines? Allergies or other causes can leave you down for the count, so make sure you have some natural remedies on hand to deal. Those over-the-counter pills will only make you drowsy and drugged-up.
Dog. Sick as a Dog? Time to give yourself a break from the worrying. All that emotional stress is only going to drain you. Make yourself a to-do list and stop thinking about what might go wrong.
Pig. Ok. Your digestive tract probably needs a break. You could end up with some serious health issues if you don’t lay off the rich foods. How about a gentle spring cleanse to get things flowing again?
