In Chinese Astrology, the Snake is an interesting creature. Often labeled as deceptive and manipulative, Snakes can be misunderstood due to their sensitive natures. As we head into Snake month, there may be certain themes that play out due to the influence this animal has on the world. Here are some of them – and tips for how to cope.
Toxins.
You may notice your sensitivity to toxins increase in Snake month. This is a good time to think about ditching those harsh cleaning chemicals and beauty products for more natural versions. Rid your home of toxins by keeping windows open, cleaning often, and keeping organic food in the kitchen.
Water.
Snakes require a lot of water in order to stay in optimal health. The same will probably be true for you in Snake month. Make sure you’re drinking pure, filtered water throughout the day. Aim for about 3 liters. This will help keep your body from having kidney or digestion issues, which are common in Snake month.
Allergies.
Snake month (and spring!) will probably bring the onslaught of allergies for many. How to cope? Stay indoors on high pollen days. Head to the water, where allergy symptoms are often better. Also, you might want to try raw honey as a cure – it has been said to help many allergy sufferers with their worst symptoms.
Weather.
Weather fluctuations can do a number on a Snake’s mood, so don’t be surprised if you’re feeling a little out of sorts this spring. Balance your nerves with the right vitamins, diet, plenty of exercise, and perhaps some homeopathic remedies from your doctor.
Peace and Quiet.
Above all, Snakes need peace and quiet! Don’t deny yourself this pleasure, especially if your body is working hard lately – whether physically, mentally, or emotionally. Make plenty of time for rest, pleasure, fun, and just doing nothing.
