Summer is officially here – and so is the hot weather and jam-packed schedule. But that doesn’t mean romance should take a back seat. Here are some summer date ideas by the sign. Time to get creative, people! Put the spark back in the bedroom…
Rat. Need to cool off? Instead of paying for a ticket to a water park, hit the regular park where they have fountains and water play areas for the kids. Bring your bathing suits and a picnic. Get wet and friendly. Enough said!
Ox. Set up a lemonade stand. No, really! Use the money you make to go buy yourselves some beers. What could be more fun (and ironic) than that?!
Tiger. Have a rooftop star-gazing sesh. Grab some blankets, a big stash of food, flashlights, and of course, some wine. See if you can pick out a constellation you haven’t seen before.
Rabbit. Head to the State Fair! It’s the perfect throwback to being a kid, and it’s probably something you haven’t done in a while. Bonus? Admission prices are usually cheaper than a theme park, but it’s still tons of fun.
Dragon. Attend some local adult sports games. Find a baseball league in your area and find out where they’re playing. Grab some foam fingers, beers, and popcorn. To make it interesting, have a friendly bet on which team will win.
Snake. Go to the zoo. After all, you’ll never run out of things to talk about there. Check out the latest exhibits, coo over the cute animals, and enjoy being among nature for a chance.
Horse. Have a gourmet picnic. Grab some fancy cheeses, crackers, and wine, and head to a local park. Dress up for the occasion and talk in funny British accents. Who knows? Maybe it will be a surprising turn on to act so sophisticated.
Sheep. Speaking of sophisticated, dress up in prom gear and head out for a night on the town. Ok, maybe not prom attire, but fancy dresses and suits. Hit up every swanky hotel bar in your area and pretend you’re filthy rich.
Monkey. Organize a neighborhood block party. Fun without having to leave your own street? What could be better?! Invite just adults (or just couples), and get to know one another better.
Rooster. Go to a food festival. There’s got to be one or two happening in your area this summer. It’s a great way to try local products, tantalize your senses, and they’re often free of charge.
Dog. Hit up a summer concert series in the park. Many towns have live music on summer weekends. Grab some lawn chairs and make a night of it.
Pig. Visit an aquarium. I’ll bet there’s air conditioning! Take some interesting pictures, listen to lectures or go on a guided tour.
