Fireworks. Picnics. Corn on the cob. Fourth of July is right around the corner! What will you be doing to celebrate Independence Day? If you don’t already have plans, try one of these 4th-inspired party ideas. Grab some friends, crack open some beers, and ring in America’s birthday!
-
Adult bike parade. Are you an active Horse, Tiger, or Dog? Have a bike parade party with your friends or neighbors. Deck out your cruisers in red, white, and blue streamers, sparkles, or other patriotic do-dads. Cruise through the neighborhood, stopping at friends’ houses, local bars, or other spots around town. When you’re tired, head back to your place for refreshments and food.
-
Foil Barbecue Hoedown. Snakes, Oxen, and Roosters will probably want to stay close to home on the 4th. Why not have a backyard, foil-barbecue hoedown? What’s that, you ask? Cook everything in little foil “bags” on your grill. Whether it’s a warm fruit pie, a steaming pile of veggies, or a tasty hot dog, the clean-up will be easy, and the menu possibilities are endless.
-
1776 Throwback Costume Party. Dramatic Dragons, Rats, and Monkeys can get their kicks at a 4th of July costume party. Have everyone come over dressed in colonial garb. Fake beards and bonnets encouraged! Have prizes for the people with the best costumes, of course, and play some old-country fiddle music to get everyone in the mood.
-
Sparkle Festival. Romantic Pigs, Sheep or Rabbits will have fun hosting a sparkle party. Set up red, white and blue twinkle lights in your home and backyard. Light candles, toss sparkly confetti around the house, and tell your guests to come in glittery glam patriotic gear. Turn on some techno music, fire up the disco ball, and serve some colorful cocktails and appetizers.
What will you be doing for the Fourth of July? Whatever your plan is, we hope you have a safe and happy holiday!
