Denze Washington is an American actor and director. He has garnered much
critical acclaim for his work in film since the 1990s, including for his
portrayals of real-life figures, such as Steve Biko, Malcolm X, Rubin
"Hurricane" Carter, Melvin B. Tolson, Frank Lucas and Herman Boone.
Washington has been awarded three Golden Globe awards and two Academy
Awards for his work. He is notable as the second African American man (after
Sidney Poitier) to win the Academy Award for Best Actor, which he received for his
role in the 2001 film Training Day.
Born December 28, 1954 his primary personality traits are represented by
the Chinese Zodiac elemental animal sign, the Wood Horse. What a great
combination; the mellow Wood Horse makes the ideal camping buddy or party date.
The Horse is perhaps the most independent sign, but the Wood element helps him
be a cooperative and understanding partner. His mellowness also makes him less
restless and more likely to stick with a project or even a love interest. When
it comes to new experiences and the arts, however, he can be quite
unconventional.
