Lance Armstrong is an American professional road racing
cyclist who rides for UCI ProTeam Astana. He won the Tour de France a
record-breaking seven consecutive years, from 1999 to 2005. He has survived
testicular cancer, a tumor that metastasized to his brain and lungs in 1996.
His cancer treatments included brain and testicular surgery and extensive
chemotherapy, and his prognosis was originally poor. Armstrong retired from
racing on July 24, 2005, at the end of the 2005 Tour de France, but returned to
competitive cycling in January 2009.
Born on September 18, 1971 his primary personality traits
are ruled by the Chinese Zodiac elemental animal, the Metal Pig. Although the
Pig is generally thought of as a gentle sign, the Metal Pig is a fighter. He
rarely backs down, and with his super charged emotions, can be a formidable
foe. He has great determination and tend to be a workaholic. In a position of
authority he can be domineering and inflexible. Fortunately, like Pigs in
general, he usually has the best of intentions; so, people will put up with his
sometimes abrasive manner.
