Lawrence Taylor is a retired American football player. The No. 2 pick of the 1981 NFL Draft, Taylor was a ten-time Pro Bowl linebacker and 1986 NFL MVP, playing his entire professional career with the New York Giants in the National Football League (NFL). He is considered to be one of the greatest players in the history of football, and has been called the greatest defensive player of all time by members of the media, former players, and coaches.
