Naomi Campbell is an English model of Jamaican decent. She was discovered by Beth Boldt of Elite in Covent Garden when she was 15 years old and still studying at the Italia Conti Stage School. She was the first black model to appear on the cover of French Vogue, and was part of the supermodel trinity along with Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington.
She has appeared in the films 'Quest for Fire', 'Cool as Ice', 'Miami Rhapsody' and 'Girl 6'. She has also had short parts in 'The Cosby Show' and 'Absolutely Fabulous' and featured in music videos for George Michael ('Freedom'), Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson ('The Closet'), Macy Gray ('Sexual Revolution'), Madonna ('Erotica') and Jay-Z ('Change Clothes'). Along with Claudia Schiffer and Karen Mulder, Naomi has a toy doll made in her likeness by the toy manufacturer Hasbro. She co-owns the Fashion Café restaurant chain with Claudia Schiffer and Elle MacPherson, and is featured in Madame Tussard's wax museum.
